You can walk pretty much anywhere in the historic district, downtown, and The Starland district. You’re only about a 15 to 20 minute drive to North Tybee Beach.
We think that walking around town is the best way to see the city! But, if riding is more your speed, Ubers are abundant and affordable and there’s a free shuttle that takes you anywhere in the historic district at the head of Forsyth Park, about four blocks away.!
If you drove here, park on one of the many available on-street spots and walk or ride around Savannah. You can also secure a parking pass for the city through the visitor center. It's a great spot to start your stay by grabbing tons of information and flyers for local businesses.
** Note: Attention must be paid to the street sweeping schedule to avoid a parking fine when parking on the street. There are signs posted on the side of the road with sweeping times. Simply move your vehicle to the opposing street to avoid a fine.

The unit was very nice and in a nice neighborhood with a few restaurants in easy walking distance. It's also walkable to downtown Savannah though a little far in the summer heat. There was also very easy access to the highway. The unit was very clean with a large kitchen, bathroom, and comfortable living/dining room. It was quiet at night. The one bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There is a foldout sofa (that we didn't need) in the living room. The instructions for checking in/out and managing entry/exit (locking and unlocking the door) were very clear and easy to follow. There was an issue with the WiFi network that Carlos came by soon after we called and sorted it out. We appreciated his responsiveness. All in all, we had a great stay in Savannah with this Airbnb being a plus. Thanks and kudos to Carlos & Marci
Ubytovanie u Carlosa a Marci bolo krásne, útulné, príjemné a má skvelú polohu. Výborne sme si oddýchli a zároveň sme vďaka skvelej polohe stihli za krátky čas vidieť veľkú časť mesta. Toto ubytovanie určite odporúčam.
We enjoyed the stay. The carriage house was cute, clean and the bed was super comfortable, which is one of our main concerns while traveling. Carlos & Marci were prompt in their communication and all instructions/info was clear and concise. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
